Another day ... Another Time waster.
If like me you've ever tried to sell an item (or indeed a huge declutter mission) or even if you are giving the item away for free you have probably come up against all the excuses under the sun as to why someone no longer wants it or couldn't be bothered to collect it when agreed.
Oh Yes, I've been there - waiting in until 1pm for someone to collect an item who doesn't turn up! Spending time sending 6 or 7 emails back and forth to arrange collection for them to decide 20 minutes before pick-up they no longer need it.
Last week I arranged for someone to collect an item at 6pm ..... at 6.15 they told me they were "now leaving and would be (here) soon". I was annoyed as waiting to put my kids to bed but agreed they could come! They eventually arrived at 7pm and then proceeded to have a go at me because they hadn't been able to park outside my house!!!!
Today someone has asked about collection then decided 10 minutes later that they no longer needed it.
Then you have the one who spent 10 emails the other week arranging collection - didn't turn up, then messaged me on another selling site (stupidly telling me she was the one who didn't turn up) and begging to collect ... so I agreed for that day as I was going to be in and ............ guess what......... a no show. I may have sent her a not very polite email!
So I've come up with a way to take the stress out ........ 'Bingo'. Feel free to play along or invent your own categories - this doesn't apply to ebay/ paypal as I could go on forever :)
Would love to hear some of the best excuses and comments you've been asked/ told.
