Cadbury World

Mmmmmmmm Chocolate ........... from the moment you enter the car park that amazing smell hits you and stays with you for the entire visit.

I like most chocolate, but Cadbury's has always been up there as one of my favourites.  I remember going on a trip to Cadbury World when I was really little so when my mum asked if I wanted to go again with her and the kids my inner child very quickly replies yelled "yes please" (tho probably not as fast as my 2 boys did!).

Microwave "Jaffa Cake" Cake

Last weekend we decided it was time for baking,.. but what.  Then inspiration hit, how about a hugeee Jaffa Cake.  So I set about seeing how other people did it.

But then I remembered I don't 'do' baking (because my oven hates cakes).  So I set about thinking ... I am positive this can be done in the microwave.

Here's how we did it (over 2 days).

Why have cotton when you can have silk?

After a long (long..... long.... long...) day at work the only thing I wanted was to go home to a bar of chocolate and a cup of tea.

Normally on my walk home through town I get stopped by chugger after chugger as I try to escape the crowds .... tonight however was different.  The lovely people at Galaxy had set up a stall and gave me ....... FREE Chocolate ... not just that but they also gave a voucher for 30p off their new bar 'Galaxy Honeycomb' so guess what I will be purchasing tomorrow :)

With its lovely rich creamy texture Galaxy is my number 1 chocolate of choice and when it's free it's even better!

At the moment you can also pick up a free ebook with their 40g bars and have a chance to win a Kindle with their larger bars so how many more excuses do you need to indulge?

'spiderman' cake

I was informed by my boys on Sunday that we were going to be "making a Spiderman cake today"....... reallly??!!

So we did .... and here is how we did in in case you want to try. It was the best recipe I've ever used soo moist, sweet and sugary with a beautiful flavour.
It is taken from the "Chocolate Box" book, which has the scrummiest recipes in.  I liked this one because it used real chocolate instead of cocoa (which I refuse to pay over £2 a tub for!).
It does tell you the recipe for chocolate butter icing but we just used normal icing sugar and coloured it.

Choccydreamalicious megachewy sundae

We love going to Sizzling Pubs and eating their absolutely amazing Supercurlycrunchielistic Choccaberry Sundae's.... unfortunately the last time we went we were a tight budget and arrived 30 mins too early for the
'grill night' so had to watch the boys eat their ice creams with none for us.

Armed with a microwave brownie recipe, some mini eggs, flumps, chocolate buttons, home made chocolates, squirty cream, butterscotch sauce, sprinkles and neapolitan ice cream i set about creating our own.

Angel Delight Ice Cream - review

Over a year ago Angel Delight released their Ice Cream mix, my youngest found it in the dark depths of the cupboard today where it had sat unused (I have no idea why) and decided we were going to make it today (I won't tell you how out of date it was).  He also emerged holding a bar of white chocolate.  so that was an easy decision White Chocolate Ice Cream!!!
