300 picture book challenge - September Update

September

We are still plowing through The Enchanted Wood trilogy, book 3 now.  With school starting again I must get back into the habit of school books and bedtime books again after we let ourselves down massively over the Summer.

122 days left in 2014 and 81 books to read.  We CAN do this.

2 adults, 2 children, 4 weeks - £200 - The summary

September

This months big challenge is the 2 children, 2 adults, £200 and 4 weeks challenge.

We spend tooo much on grocery shopping in this house..... we've cut down considerably but the last couple of months I've let things slip and now spend FAR tooooo much.

So with the cupboards and freezer looking a bit like Mother Hubbards House and hubby having just been paid I decided now was as good a time as any to start the food challenge again.

For the purpose of this challenge I am only counting actual FOOD and DRINK costs!  Not household essentials, not toys, games, books just plain  and simple Food and Drink.

September has simply flown.........

I met some lovely new Tweeps.
Entered some exciting competitions and received a few wonderful products to test and review.
I have updated my blog far too often and lost too much time of Twitter/ Facebook.

A blog a day in september - Monday 2nd September - Back to School

Day 2 - September 2nd ........ Back to School.

Like I said on day 1 Ben starts school tomorrow.......
........ use today to blog about one, some or all of the ideas below:
                     - excitement/ fears over your child starting school
                    - remembering your own time at school
                     - teaching a class on their first day back at school
       or anything related to school life and days really................

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am really excited for Ben starting school, he's 5 in October and has been away from home numerous times already.
Until the summer holidays this year he went to a childminders every Friday since he was 9 months old so was used to being away from mummy/ daddy from an early age.  He took to this like a duck to water, we never experienced the clingy separation anxiety so many parents go through..... most days I'd be lucky if I got a kiss/ cuddle before I left him.  When it came to going home he would want to stay and drag his feet.
