I saw these going around the internet on various sites and we had to have a go too. I'm terrible at making dough - I've lost count of how many gingerbread men got binned as it wouldn't roll, I even burnt homemade playdough!!! So thought it best to buy some rich tea biscuits...... except I forgot and ended up hunting the internet for an easy recipe even I couldn't mess up, and it worked, the biscuits were perfect (well they could have done with more flavour but hey ho can't win 'em all).
These biscuits are perfect for cookie cutters as they do not get any bigger during the cooking process (yes I have also made GIANT cookies after forgetting this detail!)

Christmas Craft: Paper Plate Trees
We're making this one at Beavers as part of our Christmas Craft night so thought I'd share it with you as it's so quick and easy but looks fab.
Take a paper plate and paint it green.
Tip: If you use sponges and some different shades of green then it looks more 'leafy'.

Bubble wrap calenders
I found some of those little calender tabs in Poundland the other day and in true Chickywiggle fashion my hand was buying them before my brain had decided what to make.
Then the other day when the boys were up to their elbows in paint I spotted some bubble wrap and came up with a great idea.... bubblewrap printing.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle - Party Invitations
I may have mentioned (once or twice) how Ben is having a TMNT party for his birthday. As it's at home I've told him he can have 4 friends as my house can't take many more. All the invitations we saw to buy were very boring . ... so with a bit of Pin-spiration ... I bring you home made TMNT invitations. And they are soo easy.

How to be a #badmummy ....... do your child's homework/ project for them......
My #badmummy post for this week.......
Here's the shocker ....... sit down and reach for social services phone number but ........... I let my child do his own homework. I know how appalling, what an awful mummy I must be.
I don't understand it ..... perhaps I am living in a parallel universe? I have spoken to soooo many parents (especially recently with the school Easter challenges) who have told their child how their model will look or what design their car should be. I've spoken to almost as many who have sat up the night before it needs to be handed in fretting over whether the colours are correct or if they have written enough (well typed, the teacher would know they wrote it).

Easter + 2 small children = mess .... lots and lots of mess
It's Ben's first Easter at school and like most parents in the country (I'm assuming) we were set some challenges for this week. Now when you work Monday to Thursday and have a husband whose idea of a
messy house is leaving 1 sock on the floor (even then it causes a meltdown) it fell to mummy to raise to the challenge. But of course, Noah couldn't sit by while his brother had all the fun so double the kids meant .... double the mess .....

So Sunday was earmarked for art attack afternoon ..........

Silver Foil Rocket
One of Ben's books this week from school was "Silver Foil Rocket". In it Biff, Kipper, Chip and co. build a large rocket out of oil drums and silver foil for the carnival. This gave me a fantastic idea for a Make..... a silver Foil Rocket.
We saved the toilet rolls this week (I MUST make that junk box I keep meaning to) and had some lids left over from when I used the silver foil trays for Rocky Road. Here's how we did it....
