Capturing precious moments with CanvasPop

I take so many photos of the boys and recently started having professional ones taken, the only

trouble is my husband takes so long to put them up that the boys have changed considerably by the time it's hung.  For this reason I've always avoided canvas prints.    Don't get me wrong though I absolutely love them.  When I left my final teaching placement the children, under teacher supervision, made me 2 gorgeous canvas' (one patterned one hand prints) that hung in my room until they sadly got damaged in a house move a few years ago :(

Now, I did bypass the 'normal' mode of how to order your photos but I did try this out in order to give you a full review.


There are 4 options to choose from on the CanvasPop website: Photoprint, add text to photo's, collage and mosaic and Triptych style (3 canvas' to make one picture).  You can also choose to have a framed paper print instead of a canvas if required.

You simply select the one you wish to make and you are given the upload options; computer, facebook or instagram.

There are 18 sizes to choose from, starting at £18.80 (20cm x 25cm) to £137.31 (61cm x 183cm).  There is also the option to customise your own size.
You then choose the depth from a rolled print (to mount yourself) at no extra cost to 6cm deep mounts and white wooden frames (+ £53.29).
 The edging is also your own choice, white, black or photo wrap (my selection).

To put this in perspective my canvas is 40cm x 60cm (16" x 24") with a 2cm wrap which would retail on the site at around £60 total.  (That's a normal sized  CD in the corner)

Further customisation is available after uploading your image, you can choose to have black and white, vintage, oil painting and many more (additional cost applies).

Postage is then £8 which applies to anywhere in the UK, Canada, U.S. & EU countries.  The whole process, including sending the proofs takes around 14 days from order to delivery which I think is really great for a handmade personalised canvas.

It's safe to say I love my canvas, the colours are as bright as a photograph and there is no distortion or pixalation to the image ....... now if only my husband would get round to hanging it (did I mention it comes complete with all the fixtures and hanging line to make this easy?).


I always like to ascertain just how great companies are for being 'human' when undertaking reviews - I don't know about you but robotic, un-knowledgable, customer service assistants really wind me up.  CanvasPop performed very well.  They have a really good Twitter and Facebook presence as well as being available for an online chat if you need any assistance when placing your order.
