Frozen Family Fun Day - 22nd November 2014

With something Frozen themed so close to home how can we not support it?  Me and the boys will be there ........... will you?

Local enterprise raises money for The Children's Hospital with Frozen family Fun Day

Saturday November 22nd sees Frozen Princess Elsa bringing an extra touch of sparkle to Wadsley as she offers her support to a grand afternoon of Frozen themed fun and games all raising money for the care of babies and children at Sheffield's Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) and The Children's Hospital.

Local, self-funded charity enterprise, Hullaballoobell Events is hosting the event, at Wadsley Church Hall from 2pm. For Rebekah Ridge, Hullaballoobell's founder and co-ordinator, the motivation to support these causes has a particularly powerful personal story. Her son Tiffin, 18 months, was born seven weeks premature and spent the first months of his life in the Baby Unit.  Doctors feared complications would mean Tiffin never walk, but he defied the odds.
“We were fearful for Tiffin’s life, he was so poorly, but with the Doctors expertise and intense treatment, they pulled him through and now he’s a bright and happy boy. We wanted to do something to raise awareness and money for great local charities.” Rebekah Ridge, Tiffin’s mother.

Alongside an appearance from the popular Princess the event will also play host to live reindeer, dance performances from the University society, Hallam Dance and Cheer, a star turn from local hula hooper Lizzie Andrews, and of course its own Disney fancy dress pageant judged by Miss Doncaster and a Disney sing-along. 'Snow Bowl' and 'Splat the Duke' are just two of the Frozen themed games which all the family can have a turn at, and children can have their face painted and make their own bit of sparkle to take home at the craft table. Cake stalls, bric-a-brac, nearly new children's clothes and a raffle will all add their takings to the fundraising effort.

The event is free entry, and games and crafts will be charged individually. Every penny taken on the day will be given direct to the causes.

The event starts at 2pm..... the current schedule being as folllows:

2:30 Kerry & Amy ballet
