Everyone knows about the pink runs that occur for breast cancer but until today I'd never heard of Go
This year, the 5k runs will take place in six cities across the UK, so it’s easy for anyone to get involved. They’ll be in:
Worcester - June 14th
Bristol - June 18th
Warrington - June 14th
Llangefni - June 7th
London and Cardiff will both be on Fathers Day - Sunday 21st June.
Go Dad Run was founded in 2013 by former World Championship hurdler Colin Jackson. He had an ambition to create something that would help raise funds and awareness when two of his uncles were diagnosed with prostate cancer, and only one survived. For the second year in a row, The Big Yellow Self Storage Company will be supporting the event.
Entry costs just £10 for boys aged 11-17 and £15 for men aged 18 and over.
All those who sign up will collect their race number, Go Dad Run Y-fronts and a free event T-shirt when they sign in on the day. What’s more, every runner will be presented with a Big Yellow Goodie Bag and a medal when they cross the finish line.
So, if you fancy doing something to keep fit over the summer, as well as raising money for a good cause and having some fun, head to the website to register: http://www.godadrun.co.uk/
Have you entered? Did you run last year? Would love to post your stories and experiences.

Disclaimer: I have not been asked to write this post but it's for a great cause and with Big Yellow as my current blog sponsor it would be rude not to let you know about it.
