Christmas Gift Guide ...... for Her

I don't know about you but I am always stuck when it comes to the question "what do you want for Christmas" because I spend so much of my life trying to know what the kids and the husband would like that I never get time to think about me.  That and I am so money concious that I think "mmm I'd like that but do I really want them to spend £40 on something that I wouldn't pay that much for myself?

But this year I have really enjoyed looking at what there is on offer and creating my own Christmas List either of the top 5 things I would love or things I have enjoyed and think you might like, or to give you ideas for someone else.  Feel free to print it off and circle your favourites and leave for the loved ones in your life to find.

1) Yankee Candles.
I love my Yankee Candle advent calender and so pleased I treated myself to it.  OK so by Christmas it'll be a little late for this but why not ask for one of these lovely fragrances they do?

Gingerbread (with nutmeg, cinnamon and brown sugar) to give the smell of Christmas during the rest of the winter months.

Orange Dreamsicle to give you the smell of summer and orange lollies while
you are cozy warm under a blanket.

Apple & Pine Needle, I am on the look out for this one as I love the smell of real Christmas Trees but can't face them with 2 small children and I am sure the fragrance of this one will fill the room wonderfully.

2) Books
I am as far from a Kindle girl as you can get.... I love my tree books and cannot stand the thought of them being replaced.  Yes tree books may be heavy (especially when you are carrying a 500 page epic around) but I wouldn't be without it on my hour long commute to work,
Here are some of my favourites that I am sure you'll enjoy.

Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella.  I love this series it really makes me feel good and able to get into the main character, Becky.   Sophie has a new one out this year "Shopaholic to the Stars" where Becky takes on Hollywood.  I've not read it yet but it's on my wish list.  If you've read and enjoyed the Shopaholic books why not look for ones by Madeline Wickham (Sophie's pseudonym).

Anything by Sophie Hannah.  Ever since I received a copy of Little Face (book 1) for World Book Night I have slowly built up my collection of Sophie Hannah books, tho sadly not in order.  Most of which are set around the Culver Valley Police Force and the towns residents.  Whilst the story's are very different with new characters in each one the alternating chapters focus on the police force and gradually reveal more about their own lives.  Whilst they can in theory be read in any order this will mean the main characters stories will be disjointed.   I'm currently reading The Carrier (book 8).

3) Perfume
Another thing that I don't buy very often and certainly never for myself.  I'm not a huge fan of perfume and when I find one I really like I tend to stick with it and I love the J Lo range.  I'm currently using up a very large bottle of Blue Glow  but to be fair it's now been on the go for around a year and the fragrance doesn't last very long.  On my wish list is the tropical Miami Glow or the original fresh scent of Eau De Glow.  Saying that I have just discovered Rio Glow which I've never tried and sounds lovely.

4) ElevEase Shower Step

This is one I reviewed a while ago, the ElevEase Shower Step.  This is a genius invention that fixes to the side of the bath to make shaving legs, painting toenails or exfoliating so much easier then trying to balance on one leg.

This Christmas they are aware every penny counts and are offering FREE postage and packaging on all their products not to mention the chance for my readers to WIN one for themselves or a gift.

5) Tablet
Yes I really want one.  I don't NEED one, my phone does virtually everything but I would love to be able to write blogposts (at least in draft) on my way to and from work and free up my evenings.  Or when I go on holiday to take it with me instead of carting the huge laptop everywhere.
It doesn't need to be anything too expensive....

The Kindle Fire would do the job and can be purchased in anything from 6" to 8.9"

  1. The top of my wishlist is a dslr camera. I love your choice of yankee, especially that unusual orange one. Will have to look out for that one. I'm burning candy cane lane at the moment but I don't like it anymore :(
