Made In Sheffield: Sheffield Style Show

Sheffield has some great, little known, fashion brands as I discovered when I met Panache, the shows sponsor, earlier in the year.  Charlotte Calvert, from Millhouses, noticed this and found a gap in the market for a high-profile fashion event in Yorkshire so together with her best friend Cheryl have created what is set become an annual fashion event for autumn.
“There are fashion shows in London and Manchester, and Birmingham’s clothes show has been going for decades” said Charlotte. “I definitely noticed there was something missing to fill the gap in Sheffield, which is why I wanted to start the Style Show. I want to re-educate people about the range of styles and budgets available in boutiques across the city and the wider region, and to show that they aren’t all the expensive places people think they are.”

For the second year in a row this two-day fashion and beauty event is back to try and put Sheffield on the UK fashion map and raise thousands for the city’s Children’s Hospital, a charity close to home after Noah broke his arm last month and who provided life saving treatment to Charlotte herself in 2000.

Sheffield Style Show will be at High Storrs School, S11, this weekend; October 3 and 4  showcasing fashion brands, accessories and health, wellness and beauty products from suppliers from across the region. I can't wait to try ‘Yee Kwan’ Ice Cream or Sorbet after seeing it on BBC's Dragons Den.

There are 30 different independent boutiques, designers and business from Sheffield and surrounding areas including some brands that are normally only found online,  These include men’s fashion brand, Ten Men Clothing, (as seen on stars from the Only Way is Essex and Geordie Shore) and Sister (Ecclesall Road’s premier ladies fashion boutique) who will be bringing along their new ranges.

It's not just stalls tho there is a catwalk featuring fashion shows with professional models, pop up food shops and entertainment.

Tickets for the event are £10 per day, under 10s go free, with the entire ticket price going to The Children’s Hospital Charity.   The event runs from 10am -5pm on the Saturday and 11am – 4pm on the Sunday.
