Turtle Power.... cupcakes

As you may have seen on Twitter it's all about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in this house at the moment.  Just when I've learnt all the superhero's from A-Z (honestly would you like me to list them) Ben announces he wants a TMNT birthday party.   Well his birthday isn't until the middle of October but when we went to B&M the other day he found a turtle bun mix and it sat in the cupboard forgotten about until this weekend.

He loved the fact the cake's were soo easy to make, and I loved not having to measure out all the ingredients.

Step 1:
Add cake mix to a bit of water and an egg ..... beat until creamy.

Step 2:
Spoon into cake cases

Step 3:
Put in oven.... after about 12 minutes remove to cool.

Step 4:
mix icing powder with water, amaze the kids as it turns a very light green.

Step 5:
Produce some icing you had for emergencies from the cupboard (which just happened to be green as you didn't use it for the hulk birthday cake in April) as there is not enough to give a good coating.

Step 6:
Use the sugar shapes included to turn green buns into TMNT's.

Step 7:
Enjoy ....... or fake enjoyment as both lots of icing were vile and the cakes definitely tasted better as mixture.

And as an aside just in case you get asked..........
